Calcium carbonate, the chemical compound contained in this supplement, consists of calcium, carbon and oxygen. The main source of this compound are marine organisms such as corals, crustaceans and molluscs that use it as a building ingredient of their shells or skeletons. The prototypical shell is usually a protective structure of a mollusc. Calcium carbonate contained in OSTEO COMPLETE comes from specially prepared seashells. Vitamin D helps in the proper absorption and usage of calcium and phosphorus, helps to maintain the right level calcium in blood. 

Calcium carbonate is often prescribed as a supplement for those whose diet doesn’t contains calcium, the most abundant mineral in our bodies and one of the most important.
